Janne Näränen

Having grown up in the shadow of a paper mill’s smokestack, it was natural for me to begin my career with a ’real job’ in the forest industry, from where I made a swift transition to the hectic and international world of management consulting. When Intera’s first investment fund became a certainty in 2007, I made the best career choice so far, by seizing the opportunity to get involved in building a new player in Finland’s Finnish private equity sector.
 
It has been great to see how many strong and highly skilled small and medium-sized companies with significant growth potential we have in Finland. I am particularly proud of the success we’ve had in building trust among tens of Finnish and Nordic entrepreneurs within a period of five years. This trust has been the foundation on which we have jointly started to build significant growth through internationalization and corporate acquisitions, for example.
                            
Building and developing Delete and Consti has formed a major part of my work at Intera. Alongside the creation of something new, the most interesting experiences have been the efforts to integrate several companies and entrepreneurial stories in controlled cooperation with executive management and other key individuals. It is because of these experiences that I believe we are on our way to becoming an increasingly better partner for companies seeking growth.
