I started my work at Intera in the fall of 2007, having worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group before that. The main reason behind my changing jobs was a desire to get involved in more long-term development of companies, at a practical level. In addition, Intera’s expansive strategy that focuses on small and medium-sized Finnish companies felt just right. There is a huge amount of high-level competence and entrepreneurs dedicated to their job among small and medium-sized companies. Determined investments in growth, the genuine internationalization of business, and managed risk-taking enable the creation of many success stories. I believe that a player like Intera is in the position to adopt an important role as a generator of growth alongside entrepreneurs. That’s why I believe in Intera.

The most enjoyable aspect of my work is building close and long-term collaborative relations with entrepreneurs who represent the best and the brightest within their own lines of business. So far, I have been involved in implementing the growth strategy of Mikeva, nursing services provider. The strategy helped the company to grow two-fold in comparison to its original size within four years, and to achieve a significant position as one of Finland’s biggest, nationwide service providers. Thanks to our cooperation with the power electronics manufacturer Trafotek, I’ve also become very familiar with promoting the international growth of a highly specialized technology company on the global market.
